In extreme cases, child abuse and &#110&#101&#103&#108&#101&#99&#116 can lead to death.

Children who have been maltreated are usually unwilling or unable &#116&#111 reveal their situation &#116&#111 someone because of parental &#116&#104&#114&#101&#97&#116&#115, &#111&#114 &#97 feeling of loyalty &#116&#111 &#116&#104&#101 family. For &#99&#104&#105&#108&#100&#114&#101&#110 who are &#105&#110 &#115&#99&#104&#111&#111&#108, while carefully asking a child may help &#116&#111 unearth details of maltreatment, teachers need to &#98&#101 aware of &#110&#111&#110&#45&#118&#101&#114&#98&#97&#108 ways &#105&#110 which the message of abuse may &#98&#101 communicated. The &#112&#114&#101&#115&#101&#110&#99&#101 &#111&#102 &#111&#110&#101 indicator alone &#100&#111&#101&#115 not necessarily &#109&#101&#97&#110 that maltreatment &#104&#97&#115 occurred.
